| � 1964 the year my love affair began. The year they came out with the first GI Joe's and the year I got my first 2 for Christmas. |
| �On through the 60's and into the 70's I along with my brother got our collections up to over 30 each. I still held a spot in my heart for the greatest toy to ever hit the market for a boy. |
| � Then in 1994 my brother on a day off went to a nearby Target and got himself 1 of each of the Masterpiece Edition GI Joe's. Now this was the greatest thing I had seen since the early 70's. |
| � I had tried getting into other collecting over the years but by 94 had ended most of that. Now every year since I have gotten him 1 or 2 Joe's each Christmas. |
| � �Now 35 years after it started I am now into "MY" Joe's again. I went and dug out all the old timers that had been in a wood box since 1976. Now needless to say they were in rough shape but I am getting them back in shape a little at a time. |
| �I had bought 5 new Classic Joe's and in past year have gotten Star Trek and Monster figures as well as the Planet of the Apes, but nothing is like the Ol' GI Joe's. �Over the past 4 years once in a while I would surf the net and look at the GI Joe collections on all the web pages. Now I was in search of lots of stuff. |
| � �So now after all these years, 2 marriages many moves, and collecting everything from comics to other action figures, I am once again collecting �Joe's and others and it is great to surf the net, and look at catalogs, �as I did that old GI Joe club catalog many years ago. |
